Job Description
The IT Officer will be involved in helping others in all aspects of the IT department’s work. They offer vital support to colleagues, and the role will often include liaising with other departments to keep the company’s networks and systems working to their optimum levels. This is a varied role that also offers the chance to gain an understanding of the various aspects of Information Technology and establish an excellent career path.
Installation/Configuration Server 2008 +2012(PDC, ADC, Data, Exchange, Proxy, WSUS, Trends Micro AV) Lan/ WAN systems
AOCS Standard Software Installation/Configuration (Firewall (Kerio Control), Backup Exec, Acronis Backup, Anti-Virus (Trend Micro)
Installation/ Configuration of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 MS Office Packages, Outlook Email System, etc.
Providing on-call support for solving IT issues for AICS staff during the day
Providing Helpdesk Support for solving IT issues for AICS staff during the day
Maintenance, Software Installation, and Troubleshooting of AICS user clients and network printers
Installation and configuration of the PABX TDA system.
Install and configure network devices (switches, routers, wireless routers, access points)
AICS Kabul Server and Client computers maintenance on a yearly basis
Arranging spare part list for computer (server, laptop, desktop) and printer
Arranging backup system (Data, Acronis, and hard drive) for AICS and regular check of the backups
Arranging Outlook mail backup system for AICS client computers
Support for the repair of IT Hardware equipment (Computers, Printers, Generator, Solar-System, etc) of the AICS office
Installation and configuration of Exchange email accounts for clients
Wiring and troubleshooting of the power system (Generator, Solar, etc) for the AICS office.
Installation/configuration and Monitor File Transfer Protocol Server (FTP Server)
Provide suggestions to AICS users and administrators on a timely basis.
A fully functional new design/layout of the existing website with up-to-date, relevant information/contents
Daily updating of the AICS website (WordPress)
Provide any other technical support required and as assigned by the supervisor.
Full compliance of operation with AICS rules, regulations, and policies, implementation of corporate operational strategies, establishment of targets, and monitoring of achievement results.
Prepare all necessary documentation for procurement of goods and services in accordance with AICS rules and regulations, including RFQ, PO, and Contracts or any other documents as needed.
Maintain records on the procurement process and related documents and files to ensure transparency and accountability.
Raise purchase orders, seek approval, and dispatch as and when required in connection with procurement procedure.
Arrangements of facilities for program/ project events, training, workshops, and other activities in terms of travel accommodations, transportation, ticketing, venues, etc., as per the approved Purchase Request Form.
Monitors deliverables under contracts awarded and prepares documentation for authorization of payments to suppliers.
Check the photocopy machines, scanner, and any other office IT equipment. In case of any problem, ask the contractor to repair them.
Make sure that all operational activities are aligned with policies and procedures.
Make sure all official vehicles are running and in very good condition.
Operation-soring and analysis of the operating environment, timely readjustment of the operation, advice on legal considerations, and risk management.
Proper management of AICS assets, facilities, and logistical services, including full compliance with AICS policies and procedures.
Ensure management of AICS security services by ensuring the effective functioning of the systems, acts as a security focal point, briefs staff on security matters, and also disseminates relevant information to staff.
Any other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Strong diplomatic skills, a high level of cultural sensitivity, and familiarity with domestic and international work environments
Proactive, able to adjust quickly to the demands and AICS’s requirements, analytical and innovative thinking, very good at attention to detail

Education Cannot Wait (ECW) has been supporting education programs in Afghanistan since 2017, and through this program AICS will focus on girls’ education as well as community-based education to reach children and adolescents in the most crisis-affected areas, in this project AICS will be supporting this initiative Baghlan and Kunduz provinces.
