Job Description

Under the General Director Program coordinator direct supervision, the ESM will take on a leadership role in overseeing the overall management and implementation of the ASLO, implementing partners including but not limited to partner capacity assessment and capacity building.
The (ESM) will directly monitor progress towards project goals and will closely oversee and track each deliverable with provincial leads and local IPs.
Maintain close coordination with ASLO field Manager to address challenges in implementation.
Assist the general project director in project modifications, reports finalizations and briefings.
The ESM will conduct meetings with project stakeholders at central and provincial level on a regular basis to ensure that progress is shared.
The ESM will directly oversee the budget utilizing Whitin the ASLO procedures.
He/She will coordinate supplies delivered to the field or IPs office with ASLO supply chain unit.
The ESM will directly manage project risks, resolve issues, and ensure the timely delivery of project milestones, working directly with IPs on
a regular basis to track progress against targets, and indirectly reporting on a regular basis on
Progress against targets to the program management team. Additionally, the ESM will prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular written updates on the project’s progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned for the general director.

Requirements

5 years plus experience of Senior/project management experience in the education sector in Afghanistan
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, master’s degree is preferable.
Experience with community-based education and education formal system support.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Excellent communication skills in Pashto, Dari, and English.
Wiling to travel and conduct field visits regularly.
