About the Scholarship
The Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s prestigious global scholarship program, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations. They offer fully funded opportunities for outstanding emerging leaders from around the world to pursue a one-year Master’s degree at any UK university.
Chevening Scholars join a global network of future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers who are committed to driving positive change in their home countries.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country/territory.
Return to their country of citizenship for at least two years after the award ends.
Hold an undergraduate degree that enables entry to a UK Master’s program.
Have at least two years of work experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours).
Apply to three eligible UK Master’s courses, and receive an unconditional offer from one by July 2026.
Meet the Chevening English language requirement (if applicable — some exemptions apply).
Applicants cannot:
Hold British or dual British citizenship (except for British Overseas Territory citizens or BN(O) passport holders).
Have previously studied in the UK with UK government funding.
Be an employee, former employee, or relative of an employee of Her Majesty’s Government, a Chevening Partner organization, or associated entities.

Monthly stipend for living costs.
Round-trip economy travel to the UK.
Arrival allowance and homeward departure allowance.

Application Process
Application Process
Apply online via the official Chevening application portal (submissions open August 2025).
Select three UK Master’s courses (must be eligible).
Submit application with:
Academic transcripts & degree certificates.
Two references.
Work experience details.
Four essay questions on: leadership, networking, studying in the UK, and career plans.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.
Receive admission offer from a UK university and meet Chevening requirements by July 2026.
